Educator Appraisal
Wordshark is a very user-friendly resource which has lots of content and should be easy to set up. It should help students with dyslexia to improve their spelling. However, it does come at a cost and it's possible that older children will find it less engaging because it looks like it's designed with a younger audience in mind.

Evidence Rating
There is very limited evidence that Wordshark has positive effects on children's spelling and language development. The limited evidence which does exist points towards the intervention being acceptable to teachers but does not provide sufficient data to determine an effect on pupil outcomes. The website boasts excellent results and positive outcomes, but relies on testimonials to back these claims up.
