Educator Appraisal
The SENDcast podcast allows teachers and parents to access information and training on certain topics at their convenience, so it makes professional development more more flexible than in person workshops and formal training. I liked that again it offers expert insights and diverse perspective. Each episode features insights from experience and practitioners, researchers and teachers, which allows listeners to benefit from a range of expertise and practical strategies which might not be available to them. I didn't like that it has a limited interactivity of as it's a podcast so it's a one way resource so listeners can not interact directly with the host or expert or ask follow up questions. It might not cover all of them (NDs) because it's such a broad area with complex individual needs. There's the audio only format, so it might not be sort of effective for learners who might require sort of video based resources. Some listeners might find it quite challenging to fully grasp certain concepts without sort of visuals or examples. Then the quality and depth might vary by episode. So it features different sort of hosts and guests, which means the quality and relevance of the content can vary.
