Educator Appraisal
Tourette's Action is a resource which helps to raise awareness about Tourette's among educators, students in the wider school community. Through providing accurate information and dispelling common myths, these resources foster a more inclusive and empathetic environment for students with Tourette's. Tourette's Action offers practical advice on how to manage ticks and associated behaviour in classrooms, which includes strategies for minimising distractions, creating supportive classroom environment and then addressing specific needs such as breaks for tick management. These strategies can help students with Tourette's feel more comfortable and accepted in their learning environment. It also offers training for school staff through workshops and online resources. I didn't like that it requires a lot of time and effort for the training. It can be done through professional development sessions and then the strategies might be quite generalised so it might not fit every student and then you might have to customise the recommendations for like the individual needs.

Evidence Rating
Touettes Action is a charity with resources for schools, the resources are derived from research. But the resources lack evidence to show it is effective.
